Features

• Pressure Redistribution – XP Light foam is very responsive and microporous material allowing a high level of airflow. This is used in the top layer of the M2 mattress and is module cut to allow each square to move to body contour. This module cutting also allows for horizontal anti shear movement.
• Base & Rail Support Foam – XP Support foam is a high-density foam that is used in the bottom layer and side rails of the M2. XP Support foam is an open cell material that breaths to allow air circulation but is high density to prevent bottoming out or side roll out. This material will easily contour to any profiling bed.
• Zerotec Cover – Zerotec fabric is a medical barrier fabric that has high elasticity in every direction which reduces shear on pressure redistribution surfaces. It is waterproof and wipeable but has microporous breathable properties. This is used for the cover of the M2 mattress. This cover has welded seams and waterfall flaps for fluid control.
• Horizontal Movement –
  XP Light material is module cut to allow each square to move horizontally and vertically to reduce pressure and sheer.
• No Springs – Icare mattresses don’t have any springs which makes them suitable for any profiling or static mattress platforms. We have found springs cause problems over time particularly on medical beds. And of course springs don’t have a good pressure care track record.
